Dr. Patrice Potvin

Prof. Patrice Potvin is a professor at the Faculty of Education at the Université du Québec à Montréal. A former teacher in elementary and secondary school, he has also worked in the development of many training programs for secondary and university level. He is the holder of the Research Chair in Youth Interest in Science and Technology (CRIJEST), and serving as the Director of the Mobile Laboratory for the Study of Science Learning Pathways (LabMECAS) and the Research Team Scientific and Technological Education (EREST). His research interests focus on open science learning, computer-assisted learning, teacher training, assessment and conceptual change and neuroeducational approach (cognitive control, inhibition and commitment). Prof. Potvin has published more than 320 publications and papers on science education (in journals such as Studies in Science Education, Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, Research in Science Education, Journal of Research in Science Teaching, etc.). In 2014, he was appointed a member of the Royal Society of Canada.

Dr. J. Michael Spector

Prof. J. Michael Spector is Professor and Former Chair of Learning Technologies at the University of North Texas. His recent research is in the areas of intelligent support for instructional design, system dynamics based learning environments, assessing learning in complex domains, distance learning, and technology integration in education. Dr. Spector served on the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (IBSTPI) as Executive Vice President; he is on the Executive Committee of the IEEE Learning Technology Technical Committee and is Past-President of the Association for Educational and Communications Technology (AECT). He was also the editor of the ETR&D, and serves on numerous other editorial boards. He co-edited the third and fourth editions of the Handbook of Research on Educational Communications and Technology, as well as the Encyclopedia of Educational Technology, and has more than 125 journal articles, book chapters and books to his credit.

Dr. Chen-Chung Liu
Professor, Graduate Institute of Networking Learning Technology National Central University, Taiwan
Prof. Chen-Chung Liu is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science & Information Engineering, National Taiwan Central University. His research interests include the computer-supported collaborative learning, socio-technological environment, mobile and ubiquitous environment, web-based learning systems, and data mining. Prof. Liu’s research is well recognized and has been awarded the Outstanding Research Awards by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan in 2011 and 2017, the Distinguished Researcher Award by Asian Pacific Society of Computers in Education in 2011, and many other recognitions. Prof. Liu is currently the Editor of the journal of Research and Practice in Technology Enhanced Learning and a member of executive committee in Asia-Pacific Society for computers in Education (APSCE). He has published more than 50 papers and book chapters related to information science, science education and technology enhanced education.
